Everyone should be able to order our fudge.
Last updated November 6, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use our website and order our fudge, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. So far we have:
- built every page and the fudge box builder from standard buttons, links and form fields that work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link;
- checked that text and buttons have strong color contrast, and kept text readable when zoomed up to 200%;
- given photos text descriptions and given buttons clear names for screen readers;
- labeled every form field, and shown form errors next to the field they’re about;
- made buttons and links large enough to tap easily on phones;
- turned off animations for people who ask their device for reduced motion;
- tested pages with automated accessibility checking tools.
Known limits
Our shop, cart and checkout are provided by Ecwid by Lightspeed, and payments by Stripe and PayPal. We’ve set them up to fit our site, but we don’t control their accessibility. If anything in the checkout is hard to use, we’re happy to take your order directly.
Need help or want to order another way?
Call or text 734-693-3836 or email greatlakesfudgecompany@gmail.com. We’ll take your order, answer questions about ingredients and allergens, or send information in another format. If you find something on this website that’s hard to use, please tell us what page it was and what happened. We’ll get back to you within 2 business days and work to fix it.
