These terms apply when you use this website or buy from Great Lakes Fudge Company (“we”, “us”) in Monroe, Michigan. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to them. Please also read our Shipping, Pickup & Refund Policy, our Allergens & Food Safety page and our Privacy Policy.

Who can buy

We sell and deliver within Michigan only. To place an order you must be 18 or older, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

Our products

Our fudge is made in a home kitchen that has not been inspected by the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, under the Michigan Cottage Food Law. Everything is made in small batches. Flavors rotate and may sell out. Photos show typical examples, and each batch can look a little different.

Allergens: our products are manufactured on equipment that processes egg, peanuts, tree nuts, and wheat, so any product may contain traces of them. Read the label, and contact us before ordering if you have a food allergy. Do not feed honey to infants under 1 year old. See Allergens & Food Safety.

Orders, prices and payment

• Orders are placed through our online checkout, run by Ecwid by Lightspeed. You’ll get an order confirmation by email.
• Prices are in U.S. dollars. Prices shown on our pages are a guide. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Any tax and shipping charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
• We may cancel an order (for example, if a flavor is no longer available, a price was shown in error, the address is outside Michigan, or the order looks fraudulent). If we do, you’ll get a full refund for anything we can’t provide.
• Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal under their own terms. We don’t receive or store your full card number.

Reviews and photos you post

We welcome honest reviews, good or bad. When you post a review:

• It must be your own honest opinion of something you bought or tried from us.
• Keep it about our products. No ads, web links, threats, insults, hate speech, or anyone’s personal information.
• Only add photos you took yourself, and don’t post photos of other people without their permission.
• You must be 13 or older.

You keep ownership of your review and photos. You give us permission, free of charge, to show them on this website. If we’d ever like to share your review somewhere else (like our Facebook group), we’ll ask you first. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.

How we handle reviews: reviews appear automatically. We only remove reviews that break the rules above (for example spam, offensive content or private information), never because they’re negative. We don’t pay for reviews or give rewards for them. On the home page we show a few highlights, and every review is on our Reviews page. Nothing in these terms stops you from sharing an honest review of us anywhere.

Copyright complaints: if you believe something on this website uses your work without permission, email greatlakesfudgecompany@gmail.com with a link to it, a description of your work, and your contact details. We’ll look into it promptly and remove it if appropriate.

Using this website

Please don’t misuse this website. That means no trying to break into it or test its security, no overloading it, no automated scraping or bots, no posting spam or harmful files, no pretending to be someone else, and no using it for anything illegal. We may block anyone who does.

Names and trademarks

The text, photos and design of this website belong to Great Lakes Fudge Company. Some flavor descriptions mention ingredients by their brand names (for example Oreo, Nutter Butter, Chips Ahoy! and Nilla). These are trademarks of their owners, mentioned only to describe what’s in our fudge. We’re not connected with or endorsed by those companies. Our shop, payment providers, Facebook and Google Maps are run by other companies under their own terms.

Disclaimers and limit of liability

We work hard to keep this website accurate and working, but it’s provided “as is”, and we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. As far as Michigan law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we’re not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that can’t legally be limited.

Michigan law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Monroe County, Michigan (including small claims court). If you have a problem, please contact us first. We’ll do our best to make it right.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Orders are covered by the terms in place when you ordered.
